Marie Birve, soprano, has already made a notable impression across Europe: The Stage describing her as a “vibrant soprano“ who’s performances are dominated by “warmth and expressiveness“.

Marie is from Malmö, Sweden but now resides at Seattle in order to continue her vocal studies with Jane Eaglen.

A 2004 finalist of the Classical Singer Competition held in Hartford, Connecticut, she is also a previous winner of the Edwin Ruud Singing Competition in Norway and a semi-finalist of the 17th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna.

Most recently Marie covered Adele for Seattle Opera’s production of Die Fledermaus.
